Prophet Kofi Oduro on ‘war path’
Prophet Kofi Oduro of the Alabaster International Ministry has slammed pastors he described as selling the glory of God, following the circulation of video in which some pastors were seen praying for the NPP Presidential candidate and flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Preachers, I call you to order…don’t sell the grace, don’t sell the dignity of the glory of God,” he charged as he denounced what he considered to be their support of the candidacy of Dr. Bawumia.
“You are like a father. You represent the father, you don’t take a side; don’t support one candidate over the other. That is not the spirit of God,” he said during a Church service.
He said, pastors can only advise and admonish politicians but they cannot pray for a politician to become the next president.
“Tell me that envelopes were not flying for those prayers,” he queried and added that praying for one candidate over the was not a godly thing to do.
He said, the pastors were trying to create problems for themselves and “some of us will become your enemies”.
“The real fathers of the land are seated; the real mothers are not praying over anybody. You people have just jumped into conclusion. Wait until the people of Ghana make a decision, then we will know where those prayers end,” he said.
He said the Church loses its voice, there would be no peace: “the Church is the voice of order…we don’t take sides because of what we can get. No! Be impartial,” he counselled.
