‘Best feeling ever’: Ollie Watkins hails England goal
English striker, Ollie Watkins, says his 90th minute strike against Netherlands that sent the Three Lions to the finals of the Euros, evoked “the best feeling ever”.
Ollie came into the game after the 70th minute to replace Captain Harry Kane, and his briliant strike was enought to secure England a final place spot against Spain.
“I have worked hard to get to this point. I have been ready; I have waiting, sitting on the bench, I said to the subs that I was going to run over and celebrate with them if I ever score because we all part of it at the end of the day. We’ve been training hard…trying to get on the pitch its not easy. Everyone wants to play so its important that I share that moment with all thhe boys,” he said in a post match interview.
I told Cole during the half time we were both going to go on and he is going to set me up. I have a great relationship with Cole. I knew when he had that ball that he was going to look for me and I had to take my opportunity,” he said.
