You can’t be Jesus – Christian Council to Prophet Adom Kyei
The Christian Council of Ghana has condemned claims by Prophet Adom Kyei Duajh that he is set to be the new poster image for Jesus Christ.
The founder and leader of the Philadephia Movement recently claimed that he has received a message from God that his picture will replace that of Jesus Christ on posters, calendars.
But the Christian Council of Ghana in a press release said “the Jesus of Christians is the only begotten Son of God who was born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem, suffered under Pontus Pilate, crucified, dead and buried, and on the third day, rose again from the dead.”
According to the Christian Council, the statement made by Prophet Adom Kyei Duah, was anti-christ in nature, and it urged Christians in the country to disregard and “save their souls from destruction.”
Making reference to some biblical verses, the Council said, “the church is hereby being cautioned against misleading doctrines that have the tendency to destroy the faith of vulnerable and well-meaning Christians. We should be mindful of false prophets and false teachers who will claim to be the Messiah…”
