Alban Bagbin, Chief of Defence Staff, others to testify in ambulance case
Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin and Alex Segbefia who both served as Ministers of Health under the NDC are expected to testify in court in the ongoing ambulance case.
Other witnesses expected to testify in court include the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt. General Thomas Oppong Peprah and former Deputy Controllers and Accountant General, Mr Andrews K. K. Kuffe.
According to a news report by Kasapafmonline, per a case completion plan drawn up by the Court presided over by Justice Afia Serwah Asare, the Speaker of Parliament is expected to testify in court on October 8, on the same day former boss of the Public Procurement Authority, Mr Silas Mensah is expected to testify.
According to the plan, Dr. Alex Segbefia will testify on July 22 while the CDS and the a former Deputy Controller and Accountant General, Mr. Andrews K. K. Kuffe will testify on July 25.
Other persons expected to testify include, Prof Nuhu Zakaria, the Director of Ghana Ambulance Service and Madam Julia Asante of Stanbic Bank both of whom are expected to testify on July 30.
The court has fixed November 15 as the tentative date for judgement and directed all parties to submit their closing written submissions by October 31.
