Former Ghanaian international and Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan has quit politics and left the NPP after chairing the Youth and Sports Manifesto Sub Committee of the Party.
A statement from Gyan said, he is now politically neutral and would focus on building training centres, sport academies and mentorship programmes to nurture young sporting talents in the country through the Asamoah Gyan Foundation, the Moah Green Foundation and the All Regional Games.
“This is not about politics; I am fully independent from political influence. This is about our children, our communities, and our continent. Together, with the support of international organisations, royal families and philanthropic partners, we can create a lasting change that empowers our youth to build the future they deserve,” the statement said.
