Alan names 40-year-old lawyer and former musician as running mate
Leader of the Movement for Change Mr John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is reported to have selected one Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso as his running mate for the 2024 elections.
His selection shocked many who tipped either Dr Foster Abu Sakara or Boniface Abukar Saddique, a former Zongo Development Minister to occupy the position after the Movement for Change formed an alliance with the National Interest Movement (NIM).
Confirming the news to Modern Ghana in an interview, Kwame Owusu Danso in an interview said “I was there and they called me that he wanted to see me and surprisingly he told me. He said they have been observing me from afar and they believe with my good work I am fit for the position. Ajarfor, it is time we the young ones get into the political scene and cause a massive change”.
“I may not be too old or too young, and I don’t claim to have all the answers. But Ghana’s issues stem from a leadership crisis, manifesting in the tumultuous way we practice politics,” he added.
Kwame Owusu Danso is known as the host of Good Morning Africa on Pan African Television in Accra.
He is a Lawyer and is known for his advocacy. He has had stints in Corporate Ghana working with Airtel Tigo and Trassacco.
As a musician, Kwame was called E-Nice and was part of the musical group Echo, which won the 2008 Ghana edition of the Nescafe African Revelation competition.
