Former President, John Kufuor in a defiant mood, mounted the campaign platform in the Ashanti Region to extol the credentials of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP Presidential Candidate.
President Kufuor had come under sharp criticism for earlier endorsements of Dr. Bawumia, but yesterday defied the criticisms and defended his choice and endorsement of Dr. Bawumia.
“There are many people campaigning for the presidency, and I have listened to the campaign messages of the various candidates. I have no doubt in my mind that Bawumia’s policies have the potential to transform our youth for the better.
“His policies on jobs including jobs from abroad that will earn the youth dollars is something that will create better opportunities for the youth,” President Kufuor stated.
He said, Dr. Bawumia was not only coming for NPP members but also for all Ghanaians and added that his policies would make economic conditions in the country better.
“I have listened to the candidates and I have not heard any candidate who has expressed his vision like Dr. Bawumia has done,” President Kufuor stressed.
