Unavailable Materials: Voting delays at polling station in Dome Kwabenya

Voting has been delayed at the Sugu Presby Church Polling Station 2 in the Dome Kwanenya constituency, as essential materials, including indelible ink, ballot papers, and the required stamp, have not yet been brought to the station.
It has been two hours since voting officially started. However, electorates who arrived early in the morning are still waiting, with no clear indication of when voting will begin.
“I came here since 6 am and I’ve been standing in the sun, but we have not started voting, we have left our jobs and came here, we should be quickly attended.”” one voter said angrily
The presiding officer at the station confirmed that election officials arrived at 4 am to prepare, but the necessary materials had yet to arrive. “We have been here from 4 am, but the stamps are not here. We have told our superior, it seems there has been a misarrangement. But it is on the way,” the officer said.
Despite the officer’s explanation, many voters remain frustrated. “Up till now, I have been here but do not know what is going on. They are not telling us anything,” another voter complained.
The delay has raised concerns over the preparedness of the election process.
Some irregularities in the Nandom constituency also reported by Tv3 indicates that while some polling stations have not been using indelible ink, there are other areas that actual markers are being used instead of indelible ink.
As of now, it is unclear when the materials will arrive and when voting will begin. Authorities have yet to provide a specific timeline for the delivery of the missing items.
