Ghana has not fallen victim to terrorist groups-Nana Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that Ghana’s borders are safe and secure, despite terrorist activity in neighboring countries.
“I am happy to report that our country’s territorial integrity is intact, and all our borders are secured’’ he stated during his final state of nation address in Parliament on January 3,2024.
‘Ghana remains the only country in the neighborhood which has not fallen victim to terrorist groups’’ he added.
He went on to express gratitude to the country’s security service saying ‘I want to pay homage to the security services and their ministerial leaders for the work they do every day.”
His Excellency Nana Addo delivered his final State of the Nation Address in Parliament today, reflecting on his administration’s achievements.
“I leave behind a Ghana that is striving, one that is navigating significant global changes with remarkable tenacity, whose economy is steadily rebounding, and whose institutions are operating effectively.” he said, emphasizing improvements in governance and the nation’s economic resilience.
“I leave behind, Mr. Speaker, a Ghana that is working,” he added.
In his address, President Akuffo Addo also expressed sadness over the recent fire at Kantamanto Market.
“I want to put on record that I am deeply saddened by the devastating fire at Kantamanto Market, which took place yesterday and has left traders and their livelihoods in ruins,” he said.
