Arsenal, Tottenham chase Semenyo, but the Ghanaian striker remains tight-lipped

One of the Premier League’s best players this season has just hinted that he may be moving to Emirates Stadium this summer
Preparations for the 2025/26 season are in full swing at Arsenal, with reports suggesting a major squad overhaul could be on the horizon.
Injuries and inconsistency have hampered the Gunners throughout the current campaign, and their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday all but extinguished their slim Premier League title hopes. With Liverpool now 15 points ahead at the top of the table, Arsenal’s focus is shifting toward their Champions League campaign and an impending summer rebuild.
Arsenal’s search for a centre forward has been well-documented, but reports indicate that wingers and central midfielders are also on their transfer radar. One player linked with a move to the Emirates is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, who may have dropped a hint about his admiration for the club.
The Ghanaian international has been one of the Premier League’s standout attackers this season, playing a key role in Bournemouth’s resurgence under Andoni Iraola. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham all reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Recent reports suggested that Spurs were preparing a €40 million bid to test Bournemouth’s resolve, while Arsenal continue to monitor his situation. In an interview with Bleacher Report, Semenyo named the Emirates Stadium as his favourite ground in the Premier League, fuelling speculation about a potential move.
However, when asked about the transfer links, Semenyo remained tight-lipped.
“I’m not gonna go into that… you’re not going to hear anything from me, my mouth is zipped,” he said.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that there is strong interest in Semenyo from several top clubs. However, Bournemouth are determined to avoid a mass exodus after a successful campaign that could see them qualify for European competition.
According to Romano, the Cherries will only consider sanctioning a couple of high-profile departures, which casts doubt on the likelihood of a move for Semenyo.
