Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communication of the Bawumia Campaign in the 2024 election has turned guns on some party insiders for disunity in the Bawumia Camp in the run up to the 2024 elections.

Some political analysts believe the latest move by Dennis Miracles Aboagye may also be part of a campaign strategy by the Bawumia Team to get Miracles Aboagye to become the Director of Communications of the party.

In the wide-ranging interview on Asempa’s Ekosi Sen, Miracles Aboagye singled out former Director of Communications of the Party, Yaw Adomako Baafi for the spread of falsehoods and disunity in the camp.

He said right from the onset when he was appointed as the Director of Communication for the Bawumia Campaign, Yaw Adomako Baafi opposed him because he felt he was older and should rather have been appointed as the Director of Communication of the Bawumia Campaign.

“Adomako Baafi did me bad,” he protested, and accused him of peddling falsehoods about supposed monies for the media that were diverted by him.

“I was very worried by the allegations. He was part of the communication team but he attended meeting only once…but in all fairness he was not well so it is understandable. But the finance director of the campaign called him and warned him to stop peddling falsehoods, yet, he continued to do that. I called him and confronted him and he had nothing reasonable to say,” he said.

The former MCE under Nana Addo is on record to have declared Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the best to lead the party in the 2028 election, and declared his readiness to serve again. He said he was ready to serve as the Director of Communication for the party.

He accepted blame for the defeat of Dr. Bawumia although he conceded that the NDC’s resounding victory was a referendum on the NPP government.

“I want to use this platform to send a sincere apology to members of the NPP for the loss in election 2024. We did out best but it was not enough to win the elections,” he stated.
