The referee decided it- Golden Kick’s Coach on MTN FA Cup final penalty

Golden Kick coach Nii Parker Hanson has expressed disappointment over the controversial penalty awarded to Asante Kotoko, which proved decisive in their MTN FA Cup final defeat.
The Porcupines opened the scoring with a header from Kwame Opoku, before Bless Ege produced a stunning equalizer from a free-kick.
As the game appeared to be heading for a draw in regulation time, center referee Selorm Yao Bless awarded Kotoko a spot-kick after Opoku went down while the onrushing goalkeeper attempted to gather the ball.
Opoku stepped up and converted the penalty, sealing Kotoko’s 10th FA Cup title.
“It was not a penalty for me,” Hanson told JoySports.
“The referee decided. I don’t know what kept him [referee] long, who prompted him [referee] that it was a penalty.
“If somebody prompted him, then on what grounds? We came to here determined to win the game and make history but referee decided.”
Kotoko will participate in next season’s CAF Champions League following the FA Cup triumph.
