Man Arrested for allegedly destroying 7 Cars at Parliament House

A young man has been arrested for damaging several cars parked at Parliament House in Accra.
The suspect reportedly smashed the windscreens and windows of about seven vehicles parked in front of the parliamentary buildings.
In a video, eyewitnesses accounted that the young man,dressed in white clothing, appeared mentally impaired and had been sitting around the Parliament House since morning.
As he was being taken away by police, he shouted, “Daddy, don’t kill them. Daddy, don’t destroy my people.’’
Police officers on duty intervened to prevent further damage. In the same video, the suspect and another man are seen being dragged away.
Authorities are yet to release a statement on the incident.
